SEMIFINAL MATCHUPS SET
2/6/2025

The St. Thomas Men's Basketball League is down to its final four, and the matchups are set for Wednesday's winner take all semifinals.

Cole-Munro Foods (1) will take on Talbot Trail Physiotherapy (4) at 7 p.m.

Elite Stars Elgin (2) will meet Ambrose Plumbing (3) at 8 p.m.

Monday's matchups began with the only meaningful game of the evening.  Seeding could have been affected but when Elite Stars Elgin (4-1) won 84-76, it set the matchups for the rest of the way.

The Plumbers took an early advantage, but a 21-0 run in the second quarter by the Stars (4-1) put them ahead by 15, and they held on the rest of the way.

The Stars used a balanced scoring effort with Andrew Lynch leading the way with 19 points, with Rob Wakefield (18), Kamal Aizimi (17) and Brian Apfelbeck (16) all had big nights offensively.

Jimmy Hendricksen had 22 points to lead all scorers for the Plumbers (3-2).

These two teams will meet again in the semifinal.
