TIME FOR A HOLIDAY BREAK
1/15/2026

Ambrose Plumbing held off Mackie's 82-78 in a great game, the final one before the holiday break.

In a back and forth contest, it came down to the wire, but Andrew Lynch iced it with a key three-point bucket with just 30 seconds to go to give the Plumbers (10-8) a five-point lead.

In the opening half, Jimmy Hendricksen scored 21 of his game high 33 points while Brent Lale had all 20 of his points in the opening half as the Plumbers lead 37-33.

After the Plumbers re-took a double digit lead in the third, Mackie's stormed back with a 13-2 run to go ahead 58-57.

Tied in the fourth Lynch scored eight key points to seal the deal.

Tyler Annett had 18 points and Steve Barton 15 for the winners, while Nic Roberts-Neef had 25 and Tai Montfort 14 for Mackie's (4-15) who played without either of their two big men and are hoping to have better success in the post-season after Christmas.

On Monday, Elite Stars wrapped up the Blair Clarke Memorial Trophy as regular season champions.
It's the sixth league title for Rob Wakefield and Brian Apfelbeck as GM's and their first since 2021-2022 when they lead Elgin Chrysler.

The Stars hammered Mackie's 93-53 on the backs of Wakefield's 32 points while rookie point guard Josh Vigars continues his push for Rookie of the Year votes with a 22 point effort.

Taran Beekhuis lead Mackie's with 14 points.

Talbot Trail Physiotherapy (TTP) wrapped up their first half with a 72-63 win over Home Hardware.

Ryan Pflanzer hit six triples in the fourth quarter, scoring 36 overall for the game to give TTP (11-8) a guaranteed winning record.

Geremey DeSchutter had 15 points for the winners.

Kamal Aizimi had 29 points and Alex Roberts-Neef had 16 for the Home Owners (9-10) who need a win over Mackie's after the holidays to finish .500.

The Plumbers' Jimmy Hendricksen scored all 18 of his points in the opening half, before sitting much of the second frame. Steve Barton scored 17, Merrick Mount 16, and Andrew Lynch 14 for the winners.

Jack Girden had 22 and Andrew Cole 16 for the Trout (9-10) who can earn their way back to .500 with a win in their regular season finale.
